Gateway Trail System
Everything is in great shape! Trails are now “always open” until the fall freeze/thaw cycle. If you’re curious about whether trails will be soft/muddy from recent rain, a good rule of thumb is that each inch of rain takes 24 hours to fully dry (perhaps a bit less for the Gateway trails). You can see recent precipitation totals by going here https://www.weather.gov/arx/hourlyPrecipGraphs and selecting La Crosse County. Rainfall totals are highlighted in green at the top of the pop-up.
