Riverview Garden's mission is to to build dignity through job training and employment. The organic gardens and CSA are part of this along with the maintenance of the property and the singletrack mountain bike trails. They recently decided to fully take over the trail maintenance from NEWT to provide more opportunities for their program. They plan to keep the trails open to the public and we've offered to help train them on aspects of trail maintenance. Therefore, NEWT has stopped all trail maintenance onsite. To trail users, neighbors, and everyone else, do not perform any work on the Riverview Gardens property without their approval. NEWT will be removing this trail from our website, TrailBot app, Facebook page, and other internal workstreams to sever ties with the Riverview Gardens organization according to their wishes. NEWT thanks the Riverview Gardens team for their partnership, especially the original leaders who gave our budding club a chance over ten years ago.
