Mountain View Recreational Area

Mountain view sIngletrack is apx 6 miles of classic hand built mountain bike trails with an abundance of natural technical features. Rock gardens, tree roots and plenty of rolling hills make this a naturally challenging ride; much like the trails at our neighbors at Maplelag and Black's Grove in Wadena. These trails are in contrast to the awesome machine built trails at the neighboring Detroit mountain facility. Riders can enjoy the challenging "slow tech" trails at Mountain View and then jump on the connector trail to the faster "flow trails" at Detroit mountain. The best of both worlds combined in one ride! The trails are sectioned on the map as #1-14. Beginners may want to try sections 1 through 5 easy route and then at the 5 expert- 13 ez intersection take 13 ez to the parking lot.
