Overview

Park hours are 10 am-10 pm. Trail starts along the treeline north of the east shelter parking lot and heads east. There is a bike repair station near the west (indoor) shelter and water and restrooms available at both shelters during summer months. Free parking year round. This multi-use directional trail is about five miles in length. A mostly easy/green rated classic XC trail through a mostly wooded area with with some moderate but short climbs and a few small optional features. This park is groomed in the winter for Fat Biking (tire sizes of 3.8" or bigger). Bikers ride in an overall counter-clockwise direction. Walkers please walk the opposite direction as bikes to increase visibility. Dogs must be leashed and in control at all times. All of the FM area trails are on clay soil that can be variable with weather. Rain turns it into a very slippery and sticky substance that is nearly impossible to ride, so if it's rained in the last 48 hours, be aware that you might have a change of plans for the day. Please respect the trails and if you are displacing the soil or it's sticking to you tires or shoes (you'll know real fast), please give it time to dry. Enjoy.

Weather Policy

Typically closed during spring thaw and flooding season until it dries and the Fargo Moorhead Trailbuilders have a chance to clean it up. After any significant rain the Red River soil is very sticky and usually takes a few days to dry out and be rideable. As with any trails, if you leave ruts or footprints its better to ride some roads or gravel. Winter riding is very dependent on snow conditions and our ability to groom. Same rules for ruts and footprints apply. We appreciate your care for our trails.
