The trail steward reports that the Esker trail has been trimmed and is now in excellent riding condition. The Missing Link, Dirt Candy, and Esker trails are all looking good and riding very smoothly. **Trail Alert:** Trail work is currently underway on the Makwa Trail between the Gravel Pit and Mesquito Brook Trailheads. Detours are in place directing users to the Birkie Trail to bypass the work area. Please be aware that changes to the route may occur frequently as the trail crew progresses in their work. **Trail Alert**: The east side of Rock Lake is clear of trees, limbs, and other debris. The west side was confirmed clear as of last Friday. Today, the Namakagon ST and the easy options east of FR203 are also free of obstructions and significant debris. The trails accessible from the Wilson Lake Trailhead, Patsy Lake Trailhead, and Namakagon Town Hall Trailhead are in excellent condition for riding. However, please exercise caution for any remaining downed trees and large sticks that may still be on the trails due to recent strong winds and weather conditions. **Trail Alert** – Logging operations will begin on July 15th in the Sawyer County Forest near Makwa, specifically in the Thannum Fire Lane area. While the trail will remain open, please exercise caution when riding in that section. You may encounter some brush on the trail, and heavy equipment has crossed it, so be prepared to slow down. All other trails are currently open, and conditions for riding are excellent!
